GIF: Lincoln shuts it down; McCutchen knows you’re impressed

On Wednesday night, the Pirates were in danger of blowing an 8-2 lead. With things getting out of hand in the seventh inning, Brad Lincoln entered the game. Three runs had already scored in the inning, the Pirates led by just a run and there were still two runners on base with nobody out. Lincoln struck out Hunter Pence and retired Shane Victorino on a fly to left, bringing up Jim Thome. Lincoln proceeded to strike him out convincingly on three pitches, escaping the jam.

The following inning, after homering to put the game out of reach, Andrew McCutchen made a fabulous play to run down a gap shot off the bat of Hector Luna.
