Notes From Pirate City: Correia Gets a Start

The Pirates have a camp day in minor league camp today. That, combined with a night game at McKechnie Field means a lot of major league guys will be getting work this morning. Clint Hurdle is here, and Kevin Correia and Joel Hanrahan are over from major league camp to get some playing time. Correia will make a start, and Hanrahan will go opposite Correia, followed by Kyle McPherson and Bryan Morris.

In the only game that exclusively features prospects, Luis Heredia will go up against Clayton Holmes, with Jake Burnette, Colten Brewer, and Yhonathan Herrand also pitching.

Ryan Hafner will throw a live batting practice, which is a good sign as the right hander recovers from a hamstring injury.

Here are the pitching matchups.

Team 2: Joel Hanrahan (Starter), Kyle McPherson, Bryan Morris

Game 2
