(Video) Brian Tallet Looks Good as a LOOGY Option

I was watching left hander Brian Tallet throwing live batting practice earlier today at Pirate City. He had good movement on his pitches, as you can see in the video below. He was especially effective against left handers, fooling Andrew Lambo with a change up and a cut fastball a few times. He threw the cutter to Quincy Latimore earlier, but left the pitch up and Latimore hit it over the left field wall. The pitch is still a little rusty, but his effectiveness against lefties could result in another run through the majors for the 35 year old southpaw.

Tallet had a .176/.228/.343 line against left handers in the majors in 2010. He dealt with a hand injury in 2011.
